Who Am I?
And what do I have to offer?
I'm a man on my own journey through life. Naturally, we only have our own experience and perspectives on life. A perspective that has been created through experience and attained wisdom. I listen with curiosity rather than judgment; this can accomplish more than tyrannical confrontation ever could. My only aim is to present my observation of the world around me with honesty and integrity. I will never claim that I am right, but I will always aim to communicate what works and what is true.
My Personal/Professional Background
I grew up in a Christian household with amazing parents who taught me about Christ, right and wrong, and how to navigate life. My moral compass is built on those principles, and I’m grateful for it.
Now, do I live a sinless life? Absolutely not—no one does. Have I disobeyed my parents? Of course—who hasn’t, right? But I learned early on how to reflect and grow. My parents weren’t perfect, but they were perfect for me. They taught me to trust God and seek answers for myself, and that shaped who I am today.
Over the past year, my faith has grown stronger, and I’ve learned so much about patience, understanding, and gratitude—things that bring real joy. For a long time, I thought I wanted to be a doctor because I thought that’s what my parents wanted. But as a teenager, I had this realization: my life wasn’t truly my own until I started asking, “Who does God want me to be?”
That shift was huge for me. In high school and college, I explored different paths, eventually landing on Neuroscience. It seemed like a respectable, high-paying career, but deep down, I wasn’t sure it was my purpose. During this time, I started ITBU in 2019 as a passion project—just something I enjoyed doing amid the chaos of school. Fast forward to graduation, and I still didn’t know what I wanted to do. I spoke with counselors, mentors—anyone who could give me clarity. But one thing remained constant: I loved serving others and sharing my ideas. After earning my B.S. in Neuroscience, I thought about going into psychotherapy or counseling. It made sense with my personality—I’m analytical, calm, and love helping people.
While figuring this out, I worked as a Special Education Teacher Assistant at a high school. Those two years were life-changing. They taught me patience, gratitude, and selflessness—everything God encourages us to embody. My job wasn’t easy, and the pay wasn’t great, but my mom gave me some advice that changed my perspective: focus less on what you want and more on what you can give. That mindset shift made all the difference. During my time as a TA, I also became the JV Assistant Soccer Coach. It wasn’t a paid role, but my dedication led the coaches to share a portion of their earnings with me—a reminder that hard work and serving others never go unnoticed.
As my second year as a TA wrapped up, I discovered Industrial/Organizational Psychology. It seemed like the perfect bridge to the corporate world—a field where I could make an impact while still focusing on people. I enrolled in a master’s program, landed an internship, and eventually transitioned into my current role as an Organizational Business Specialist. Now, I work for a government IT firm specializing in cybersecurity, productivity, and program management. My role focuses on employee engagement, quality assurance (ISO Certifications), and social media. At 25, I know I still have so much to learn, but one thing is clear: everyone has something valuable to offer and receive when they approach life with honesty, intention, and a heart for service.
